About

Sarah is a Counselling Psychologist based in Brisbane, Australia with full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia. She is experienced in the clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of mental health issues, including anxiety and depression, as well as developing conflict resolution and communication skills. 

Sarah brings compassion and a non-judgemental genuine regard to her clinical practice. She is passionate about helping clients achieve meaningful connections, assisting them to reconnect and work towards developing closer, stronger and more secure relationships with others. Her aim is to help her clients find their voice by creating a safe and supportive environment, whilst encouraging skill development and growth to attain treatment goals.

Sarah works with clients to understand their fundamental needs and develop appropriate action to see these met. Therapy is shaped by clients’ goals and she is dedicated to supporting her clients to achieve them.

Sarah is an ICEEFT Certified Emotionally Focused Therapist and Supervisor-In-Training for couples and individuals.

Sarah’s passion is working with couples and individuals experiencing:

  • Relationship adjustment difficulties during transition points e.g., marriage, parenthood, traumatic loss, career change, retirement;

  • Periods of relationship distress e.g., breakdown in communication, coping with affairs, relationship break-ups, blending stepfamilies;

  • Sexual difficulties;

  • Grief and loss.

 

Sarah completed a Master of Applied Psychology (Counselling) at the University of Queensland. She received the Dean’s Commendation for Academic Excellence and was awarded membership of the Golden Key International Honour Society, which is only available to the top 15% of students. Sarah is also a member of the Australian Psychological Society and trained Prepare and Enrich pre-marital counselling facilitator.
